If you’ve not seen
them already, there are 2 new books out by RTS-Charlotte faculty. Dr. Robert Cara’s 1-2 Thessalonians is out in the EP Study Commentary series. Dr. John Currid’s Expectant Prophet: Habakkuk Simply Explained in the Welwyn Commentary series is also just out. Both are available (or soon will be) in the RTS bookstore and of course in our Library.
Welcome to our new students at RTS-Charlotte! Stop in soon to get a library card and also, if you like, an informal walk-through tour of the collections. We will start taking sign-ups for individual instruction in the online databases the 2nd week of September, so watch for further news on that (we’ll announce it in several venues). We want you to feel comfortable finding things as quickly as possible. Let us know how we can serve you!
We are now posting a selected list of new titles added to the RTS-Charlotte Library online at www.librarything.com/catalog/rtsclibrary. The first time you visit, you may need to click on the “Your library” tab and select the most recent “new titles” collection. We will not list every single book we acquire here, but enough to give you a sense of what has been added lately. We also continue to display new titles on the top of the Reference shelving so you can browse through them when you’re in the Library as well. Note also that there will be a ‘new book additions’ link on the left side of this page for future connecting.
The Library has
recently purchased a number of new audio CDs on a variety of subjects by people such as Donald G. Barnhouse, John Piper, Mark Driscoll, and others. All audio titles can be checked out by students for 2-weeks at a time. Some of these are books-on-CD, others are recorded sermons or conference sessions. They will be on display for a while with the new books.
